That's a fair comment. To be honest I wrote this a long time ago, and re-reading it, it isn't the best. If you have any advice for how to deliver with a better tone, I'd love to hear it.
You mention: "as a human being could you really just leave 12 kids to die in a cave", obviously I don't want people to die, but in supporting that you're at the same time answering "as a human being could you really just leave 100 kids to die from Malaria?". The second question is rarely if ever asked, and that seems to make us a lot more comfortable in ignoring it, which the majority of people do. That's what makes me sad, and that's why I originally wrote this.
"multiple people carrying the guilt of doing nothing to prevent it" - I think this again gets to the critical point. We don't feel guilty for what's far removed from us. That's completely reasonable, but it's not an excuse for humanity as a whole to ignore others in need.
All in all, it's an opinion, everyone is entitled to their own and people will live their lives as they see fit in this complex world. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
