6 Great Songs for Chinese Beginners

There’s no doubt that one of the best ways to learn the basics of any language is through song. Everyone has stories of having songs stuck in their heads for days, and you can likely remember songs that you used to sing every day in your teenage years.
Using machine learning, to analyse songs, and the HSK system to rank the difficulty on those songs, six great Chinese songs were found for beginners in the Chinese language. For those who have studied up to HSK 3, they should be able to understand three quarters of the characters used in these songs.

There’s a good mixture of genres so everyone should find at least one song to enjoy.
This list will start where all of us typically start, with a children’s song. This is a song about a good little rabbit produced as a way to teach children not to open the door to strangers, or in this case, wolves. A bit of light-hearted fun before we get serious.
